Prayer Gathering Tonight

As Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, we join together for prayer this evening at 6:00PM at our Reliant campus at Crave Coffeehouse (3500 Caroline St., 63104).  We believe prayer is a critical activity in any crisis.  There is power, not in our prayers alone, but in the One we pray to.  Myself and other ministry staff will lead this prayer gathering. 

Our Reliant campus is located just blocks from Grand Ave. and Hwy. 44.  Last night, a couple hundred protesters blocked the interstate at this point, as well as marching south on Grand Ave.  We chose to have this prayer gathering at our Reliant campus because of its proximity to the needs we are praying for.  While the neighborhood immediately around Crave has been safe, members are urged to use their own discretion.  If you cannot join this prayer gathering, we ask you to pray at home from 6:00-6:45PM. 

Based on previous protester activity on Grand Ave., a suggested route from interstate 44 is to go north at the Jefferson exit, take a left (west) on Park Ave., and then a right (north) onto Theresa Ave.  There is a small lot to the west of the Crave building as well as street parking.
